Ashley is a member of the Georgia team, which works at the district level on resource management and strategic planning, as well as at the state level looking at policy and state-wide spending patterns. She is also assigned to the Gates Professional Development team, which evaluates Professional Growth “best practices” and how comparative districts are using their Professional Growth funds.
Prior to ERS, Ashley earned a master’s in education policy and management and an MBA. For her MBA summer internship, Ashley was an Education Pioneers summer fellow, helping to start up the Chicago Year Up site. The experience with Year Up solidified her commitment to education reform and was a catalyst to pursuing a master’s in education. Before starting graduate school, she taught English for two years at Shanghai University in Shanghai, China.
Outside of ERS, Ashley enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking and attempting to play the mandolin.
