District Partner 2012-present
ERS is partnering with the Georgia Department of Education on our first state-level analysis. The pioneering project, funded by Georgia’s Race to the Top grant, includes resource mapping in five districts as well as state-level work, which analyzes state spending overall, the impact of federal and state education policies, and the role of the state in education.

District Resource Mapping in five school districts:
- Financial Analysis: Improve district spending in terms of equity, efficiency, and efficacy through budget, weighted student need, and special populations analysis
- School Level Resource Use Analysis: Organize school resources (people, time, and money) to match student needs and school priorities

2013-present
State-level analysis:
- District Cohort Support: Support five districts in crafting strategic plans that focus on resource use
- LEA Spending Analysis: Assess spending in Georgia’s 150+ school districts
- SEA Spending Analysis: Assess state-level spending in the Georgia DOE
- Georgia Policy and State Role: Review Georgia state education policies for alignment with academic priorities and craft framework for state role
